The parks have a combined annual budget of $2 million in operating funds. Work is carried out with a diverse staff of General Schedule and Federal Wage System employees working professional, administrative, clerical, craft and trade specialties at a current FTE level hovering around 25. Provides leadership in the development of policies, standards, and procedures which govern the professional conduct of work related to the administration and implementation of the programs, including the functional areas of public use management, resource stewardship, education and interpretation, fiscal and human resources management, park maintenance, visitor services, safety management, park partnerships, public affairs, budget planning and execution, and park development. As the principal line officer, the incumbent serves as the focal point in the park for providing leadership, motivation, direction, and decisions required to implement and carry out multiple use and natural/cultural resource management within an organization containing a variety of resources. Provides administrative and technical supervision to a very large subordinate staff. Incumbent represents the National Park Service and the park in primary communications with members of Congress, appropriate Federal, state, and regional and local officials, public and private organizations, and the general public. All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-11/30/2020-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either full-time (or 40 hours a week) or part-time with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience. For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
SPECIALIZED
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as:
Exercising management or program specialist work involving the development and implementation of policy related to protection, conservation, or management of park areas or similar operations. You must include hours per week worked. Volunteer

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
